What We Track
Six asset classes. One net worth.
Real net worth in India rarely lives in a single demat account. It’s spread across property, gold, market investments, fixed income, a business stake, and the cover that protects it all. Here’s how Alpha360 treats each one.
Real Estate
What it is
Every property you hold — homes, plots, commercial units, and ancestral or jointly-owned land — valued and kept current in one place instead of a stack of registry papers.
Why it matters
For most Indian households, real estate is the single largest slice of net worth, often 40% or more. Getting its value even roughly wrong distorts every other decision you make about the rest of your money.
Common blind spot
Valuations quietly go stale — a plot bought a decade ago is still carried at its purchase price, and joint or ancestral shares are rarely split out cleanly per family member.
Gold & Jewellery
What it is
Physical gold — jewellery, coins, and bars — tracked by weight and purity, and valued against live market rates rather than a one-time appraisal.
Why it matters
Gold is a genuine store of value and a liquidity buffer, but only if you know what you actually hold. It sits across lockers, homes, and family members, and its value moves with the market every single day.
Common blind spot
Nobody keeps a running weight-and-purity ledger, so gold's contribution to net worth is usually estimated — often understated — rather than calculated.
Equity & Mutual Funds
What it is
Your full listed portfolio — direct equity, mutual fund folios, and SIPs — consolidated across brokers and fund houses into one live view.
Why it matters
This is usually the most liquid, most volatile, and most actively discussed part of a portfolio — but it's rarely seen next to the illiquid assets it needs to balance.
Common blind spot
Holdings scattered across multiple demat accounts and fund houses double-count overlapping funds and hide real sector or stock concentration.
FDs, Bonds & Debt
What it is
Fixed deposits, corporate and government bonds, and other debt instruments — tracked with their maturity dates, interest rates, and issuing institutions.
Why it matters
Debt instruments are the stable, income-generating core of most portfolios, and the ladder of maturity dates matters as much as the total amount held.
Common blind spot
Renewals happen on auto-pilot at whatever rate the bank offers that day, and money that matured months ago is often still sitting idle in a savings account.
Business Equity
What it is
Your stake in a business you own or co-own — private company shares, partnership capital, or a promoter holding — recorded and tracked alongside everything else you own.
Why it matters
For business owners, this can be the largest and least liquid asset on the balance sheet, yet it's usually the one left out of every net-worth conversation entirely.
Common blind spot
Business equity is illiquid by nature and easy to either ignore or wildly over- or under-value, especially without a recent formal valuation.
Insurance Sum Assured
What it is
The total sum assured across term life, health, and other cover — seen next to your net worth, not buried in a separate policy folder.
Why it matters
Insurance isn't an asset you spend, but it's the safety net that protects everything else you've built. Its adequacy only makes sense measured against your actual net worth and dependents.
Common blind spot
Cover bought years ago rarely scales with a growing net worth, leaving families meaningfully under-insured relative to what they'd actually need to protect.
