Shield360 · Term Life
How much life cover is actually enough?
High-value term life sized to replace your income — not a round number picked at random — with riders that pay out for critical illness or accidental death on top of the base cover.
Cover sized to what your income actually supports
A common starting rule of thumb: 10–15x your annual income, adjusted for what you owe and who depends on you.
That multiple is a starting point, not a final answer. We adjust it up for outstanding loans (home, business, education) that shouldn't fall to your family, and for young children whose dependency runs longer; and adjust it down where other cover or assets already fill part of the gap. The goal is a sum assured that actually replaces the income your family would lose — not the biggest number a policy can be sold at.
Size My CoverWhat We Factor In
- ✓Current annual income
- ✓Outstanding loans & liabilities
- ✓Number & age of dependants
- ✓Existing life cover (employer group term, other policies)
- ✓Years until financial independence of dependants
Riders
Extend the base policy for the risks it doesn't cover alone.
Critical illness rider
A lump-sum payout on top of the base term cover if you're diagnosed with a listed critical illness — while you're alive to use it, not just on death.
Accidental death benefit
An additional payout to your nominee if death is caused by an accident, stacked on top of the base sum assured.
Waiver of premium
If a rider event (like permanent disability) leaves you unable to keep paying, future premiums are waived and the base policy stays in force.
Claims & Payout
A death claim shouldn’t be a fight.
Term life claims are settled against the death certificate, policy documents, and nominee KYC — no hospital pre-authorisation involved, since payout follows death rather than treatment. Keeping medical history and nominee details accurate and updated at the time of purchase is what keeps a claim straightforward later.
